The Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has established and maintains its Knowledge Resource Collections (KRC) at the PLT College, Inc. (PLTCI), Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya confirmed by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU was signed by the representatives of the two parties, Susie O. Fiesta – Deputy Director, BSP and Dr. Mercelita V. Orden – College President, PLTCI and witnessed by Ms. Ana L. Aquino – PLTCI Chief Librarian. The launching of KRC and the signing of MOU was attended by the school officials, library staff, and students on November 28, 2019, at 9:30 AM at the PLTCI Library.
According to Mrs. Susie O. Fiesta, the KRN is an initiative at information and knowledge sharing that aims to enhance the public’s understanding of economic and financial concepts and issues, and thus empower them to contribute more meaningfully to economic development and benefit better from the opportunities that such development would bring.
Dr. Mercelita V. Orden had her KRN partner message, then thanked and acknowledged the effort of the BSP represented by Susie O. Fiesta for coming to initiate KRC that was displayed and organized at PLTCI library.
KRC houses updated BSP publications such as books, reports, guides, manuals, primers, and brochures, as well as provide access to online publications and research assistance services to the public. These information resources and services will be made available to the PLTCI and its clientele in the local community for free.
